Director of Golf Matt Fields

Simply put, Matt Fields is synonymous with junior golf. In a coaching career that spans more than 20 years, Fields has been responsible for recruiting, training, and developing more top-ranked junior level golfers than just about any other coach in the business.
In his illustrious career, Fields has taught more than 25 American Junior Golf Association All-Americans, two AJGA Players of the Year (Morgan Hoffmann & Kevin Yu), one USGA Public Links Champion (Alice Jo), one Western Junior Champion (Kevin Yu), one North & South Women’s Amateur Championship (Amelia Lewis) two AJGA Junior Players Champions (Morgan Hoffmann & Kevin Yu), one AJGA Polo Champion (Morgan Hoffmann) one AJGA HP Boys Champion (Morgan Hoffmann) three Golf Week Invitational Champions (Stephanie Meadow x 2 & Morgan Hoffmann) three US Teen Girls 15 to 18 World Champions (Laura Restrepo, Kelly Whaley, Jenny Chen) one boys 14 US Teen Champion (Kent Hsaio).
Fields also developed these players over many years as junior golfers helping them ascend to the top amateur and professional levels: Shan Shan Feng (LPGA), Richy Werenski (PGA), Morgan Hoffmann (PGA), Kevin Yu (PGA), Stephanie Meadow (LPGA), Amelia Lewis (LPGA), Kelly Whaley (Symetra Tour), Nicole Autrique (Symetra Tour), Laura Restrepo (Symetra Tour), and Stewart Hagestad (Walker Cup x 3).

Golf Coaches

RJ Schebel
Director of Instruction
RJ was a member of the golf team at Bethel University in his hometown of South Bend, Indiana. After graduation, Schebel moved to South Carolina and attended the Professional Career College, earning a degree in Professional Golf Management. RJ has been coaching junior golfers for the last 10 years and his students have gone on to compete at all levels in college as well as professional tours both domestically and internationally.

Clive McCann
Head Coach
Clive McCann has a rich family tradition in golf, so it’s no surprise the South African has followed in these familiar footsteps. McCann started teaching golf by assisting his mother Rina Ritson in the early 80’s with clinics on weekends.
McCann began his professional playing career in the high-profile Florida Space Coast, TC Jordan, Tear Drop and Tommy Armour Tours. After years on the junior circuit, McCann joined golf’s big leagues playing the South African PGA/Co-sanctioned European Tour and South American PGA Tour. Clive playing the tours for eleven years while an instructor in the family business always realized his passion and true calling was in teaching.
Clive started his fulltime teaching career for Phil Ritson’s well-known Golf Your Way Schools in Orlando, earning his Master Instructor and Classic Master Biomechanics status for the Phil Ritson Golf Institute, and Body Biomechanics at ICGB. During his tenure with Phil Ritson, McCann also directed the international expansion of Phil Ritson’s company for Samsung in South Korea and was the opening Director for the Japan Tour Players Academy in Tokyo.
Clive joined the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy as Lead Coach for the Elite team. McCann thereafter joined PGSA in South Korea and USA as Director/Head Coach. Clive was the Head of Instruction for JPGA on Hilton Head and then the Director/Head Coach for JPGA at Orange County National in Orlando, Florida.
Clive is the Head Coach for Rush Premier Sports’ Golf Program in Port St Lucie, Florida. McCann has assisted numerous players on the USPGA, LPGA, Korn Ferry, KPGA, KLPGA, EPGA, JPGA, CPGA SAPGA, Mckenzie Tour, Asian Tour and China Tour.

David Allibone
Recruiting & Consulting
David Allibone has become an integral part of our team. A native of Doylestown, Pa., he joins the Academy after spending the past 15 years working within golf industry. He worked in business development at both The Annika Academy and Saddlebrook Golf Academy. David was the Director of Adult programs for the IJGA in Hilton Head, SC. David also coached student-athletes at The Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy, and the International Junior Golf Academy.
Before entering the golf industry, he spent 15 years in corporate sales for major companies like Citibank, Rosenbluth and consulted with clients in the software industry. He holds M.B.A. and B.S. degrees from Stetson University in Deland, Florida.

Bill Nelson

Like you, I am a golfer and I know what it feels like to struggle with your golf game.
As a mental performance coach for over 20 years. I have had the opportunity to work with thousands of golfers. My clients have gone on to become PGA and LPGA Champions, NCAA Champions, US Amateur and US Junior winners, and some have even played in the Olympics.
In addition to coaching individual players, I have also coached some of the best college teams in the country. Many of these teams have won conference titles and have been nationally ranked in the top ten.

Drew Solecki
Strength & Conditioning Coach
Drew Solecki is an experienced strength and conditioning coach who is passionate about the development of student athletes. Drew has previously worked with the University of Miami Varsity Athletic teams, United States National Team Youth Soccer Academy program, high school strength and conditioning, as well as health and wellness facilities. He has also been involved with the National Council on Strength and Fitness where he developed educational material for fitness professionals and coaches around the world. He is very upbeat and loves to share his positive energy to uplift others. Drew was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and moved to Miami to pursue his graduate degree many years ago.

Nigel Maven, MS, ATC, CES, PES
Athletic Trainer
Nigel is a passionate and very experienced athletic trainer with experience at all athletic levels ranging from high school and college athletics to professional sports teams. Nigel is originally from Colorado and has traveled all over for his studies and career, living in Texas, NYC, Louisiana, Arizona and now Florida. Nigel holds many certifications including Certified Athletic Trainer, Performance Enhancement Specialist, and Correction Exercise Specialist. Nigel’s overall experience and professional drive helps keep our athletes healthy and ready for competition at the highest level.
