Altitude Academies Beach Volleyball
Showcase and Clinic
December 7-8, 2019
New format!! Instead of regular pool play we will run a “queen style competition”.
Multiple teams on one court, queen style (only a queen’s side earns points, If the team on the challenge side wins a rally, they don’t get a point but move to the queen’s side. (Age groups for tournament 14u, 16u and 18u)
- 5 teams play on one court in 3 rounds
- First round last 22 minutes. Top 5 teams will stay on Top Court, another 5 teams with best results will go on Upper Court and last 5 teams with the lowest scores will stay on Down Court.
- Second round last 18 minutes. Again -Top 5 teams will stay on Top Court, another 5 teams with best results will go on Upper Court and 5 teams with the lowest scores will stay on Down Court.
- Third round will last 12 min and will determine if the team will play gold or silver division. Top court players (5 teams) and best 3 teams from the Upper Court will play Gold Division on Sunday and 2 bottom teams from Upper Court plus 5 from the Down Court will play Silver Division.
- Will be a break of 7 min between each round.
Double elimination bracket for all divisions will start on Sunday.
